Why do love vintage?

Love Love vintage because it makes it easier to define your personal style, Its pre-loved has this unknown history to it which is fascinating and  vintage pieces are a great conversation starter when your in a social setting.

Why do you love vintage?: vintage allows me to be unique, creative and on trend without having to solely rely on the high street plus vintage always has a few sequins on offer which I love!

Tips: I have long stopped caring about whether people like the way I dress or not. dress for yourself, be individual and confident and fashion will be fun!

Tell us abit about your website/blog.... I'm a bit of a 1950s geek and live the rockabilly lifestyle so My blog is about my life and ongoings on and anything vintage that catches my eye, I prefer writing more indepth rather than short snippt blogs!

Why do love vintage?

I love vintage because you can have your own style through it because you can mix and match eras, My love is the 1950s so I wear the majority of vintage clothing from that era, you are likely to get something more unique and are less likely to see someone else wearing it!

Any tips, quotes or advice you believe in or live by?

Everything happens for a reason and if you don't try you'll never know, people can miss out on so many chances if they don't try!

For our forth-coming fair set at the enchanting BAC in Battersea on 25th September, we are lucky to be working with some really great bloggers, who we will introduce to you everyday this week. They will be based in our new and exclusive bloggers area where they will blog, tweet and facebook directly from the heart of the fair while discovering all those vintage gems. Tell us abit about your website/blog... Cherry Humbug allows me to channel my creativity into something which I hope others will find enjoyable to read, as well as inspiring! I don't like to take Fashion too seriously, and I do think that life is an occasion worth dressing up for - it's more fun that way, for me at least. I hope that by sharing my own style, fashion tidbits that I've stumbled across (not to mention other ramblings!) that it might encourage others to do the same, and to embrace the fact that shopping on a budget isn't always such a bad thing. I've always been a bit of an internet geek, so being part of an online community who share my love of fashion is great!

Why do love vintage? There's something really magical about wearing an item of clothing that has seen past decades, decades I may not even have been around to enjoy, myself! Vintage pieces are great for making an individual style statement, and the satisfaction you feel when you find a great piece just can't be matched when shopping on the high street or with a designer brand. Plus, you're always bound to come across something completely wacky along the way, which is always good fun!

Any tips, quotes or advice you believe in or live by? In a time when we can seemingly plan out and execute every move on an iPhone app, I think it's really important to be spontaneous and to see life as one big adventure... and not to fear the unexpected, because that's what keeps things exciting!
